The guy, unfortunately, makes a lot of sense... he seems to have a good grasp of the situation facing not just the USA, but the world.

As you say... people look for confirmation of what they want to believe... rather than looking for WHAT IS.

As for myself, I am really really really hoping TSHTF doesn't happen before late 2010... that's the time I need.... BUT... I worry that I'll be lucky to have about 6-8 months (I hope not less!!! :favorites21:) to get squared away as best I can. :36_1_25:

BTW, read your running posts during and after the ice storm... thanks for letting folks here know how you were doing... and how your preps performed... VERY EDUCATIONAL!!!

Duck, that was a fine clip. I watched the others linked on that page but the first was the best.

Blue, I think most of the folks who think a really deep depression is coming would be delighted to be wrong. Who wants the misery? Whew! would suit me fine.

I don't know how long the patch can hold is my personal opinion but if the troubles are healing nicely then great.

Even if we get a horrific depression, if we can just not waste precious wealth, ingenuity and young people in a bigger war that will be better than the worst case. Bankers and politicians love to make slaves of and line up young men at the point of a gun and march them off to destroy and be destroyed. Avoiding that is what my thoughts and prayers go for the most. No conscription, no war to cover up the economic crimes, and destroy even more.

It is interesting that he predicts tax revolt. Our property taxes went up a really crushing bunch this year. We are actually having to pay them out. They are more than this house would have rented for 15 years ago.... just the taxes.

Bee, I'm with you on everything from political power to food production being more local.
